Comot Japanese Houhin Pot & Cup Set
The Story
Literally translated Houhin means “treasure bottle”, which is a kyusu teapot without a handle and used mainly for steeping luxurious Japanese tea such as Gyokuro tea or very high grade Sencha. It might look like an object of art or a collectible at first sight, but it is a truly professional tea ware.
The Comot Pot and Cup are exquisitely crafted with a double-wall which is highly heat preserved. The teapot has a ceramic strainer at the mouth of spout inside. Both the Pot and Cup are spherical and smooth to the touch, using concave indents as grips instead of handles. Deceptively simple in design, they are aesthetically clean but invitingly tactile.
